January 25 marks the birthday of one of literary modernism's most prominent writers, Virginia Woolf. Born in London in January 25, 1882, Virginia Woolf took up the pen at the age of eighteen and over the course of the next forty years, went on write some of the most important works of modernist literature, including some of her best known novels: Mrs Dalloway , Orlando , and To the Lighthouse . You can check out all of these works and more, such as Woolf's well-known essay, A Room of One's Own , and a complete collection of her shorter fiction, in our circulating collection. You may end up wanting to buy the flowers yourself, afterwards.
