#fridayreads: National Culinary Arts Month

Grab your spatula and prepare for the appearance of the dreaded Hash Slinging Slasher. Wait, this isn't Bikini Bottom, but July IS National Culinary Arts month. In defense of the dark chocolate arts, in the first corner we have the reigning champion and rumored chicken-dropper, Julia Child. In the second corner, offering a challenge with the inside dirt on what goes on behind the scenes (don't order the salmon), we have Anthony Bourdain. Both of these cooking legends are gone but their writing lives on. We also have many other instructional books that offer cooking tips and lessons for every level from novice to "homemade is better." Just don't tell the fry cook that you're eating at home tonight.
