#fridayreads: Civic Engagement Week

 Last week's #fridayreads was all about Self-Improvement and this week's topic involves improvement beyond oneself. If you hear the phrase "Civic Engagement" and want to buy your Honda a diamond ring, we have some unfortunate news for you. Civic Engagement Week at PVCC runs from September 17-24 and it does not involve any vehicles. It can, however, involve books! Jessup Library has books on the history of the vote, voting rights, civil rights protests, the American political system, and how you can become more involved in the community that surrounds you. You can get a lot of mileage out of several hundred pages of books without ever leaving the parking lot.
