#fridayreads: Confucius' Birthday

Confucius' 2,570th birthday is on September 28. Perhaps your birthday party invitation was lost in the mail? You might expect this #fridayreads post to include quotations and words of wisdom from Confucius. Instead, Jessup Library would like to direct you to more in-depth sources of information: Confucianism : a Very Short Introduction, The Wisdom of Confucius, Confucius and the World He Created, and Confucianism: an Introduction. We do, however, have some questions that need answers. If Confucius had an Instagram account, would he be obsessed with his follower count and engagement numbers?  Would Confucius leave comments on blog posts? Do you think Confucius would approve of the Jessup Library selection of books on his philosophy? We hope so.
