Media Literacy Week
“Media
literacy is the ability to
ACCESS, ANALYZE, EVALUATE,
CREATE, and ACT using all forms of
communication.”
Media Literacy Week is intended to bring into
focus the use of resources such as movies, computers, iPads, cellphones, as
well as the traditional books, magazines, and journals. Media literacy is about being mindful and
educated in the use of such resources as listed above. It is also the ability to give careful
thought to the information we absorb and evaluating it as literate persons
before acting or responding to that information.
