Neil Gaiman |
From Ireland to the
Middle East, delve into the different cultures of the world through the written
word. Neil Gaiman’s Norse Mythology
book is a wonderful telling of the myths of ancient Scandinavia. Gaiman has written an easy-to-read
book that makes learning about the old gods enjoyable. The classic Indian novel Nectar in a Sieve
follows the life of Rukmani and the hardships that she faces after her arranged
marriage at the age of 12. Frank McCourt’s
memoir Angela’s Ashes reflects on his difficult Irish childhood that
reads like a beautifully written novel.
