#fridayreads National Video Game Day

Get your consoles charged because September 12 is National Video Game Day. When some of us were young the only game choice was Pong.  T-Rex couldn't even play with us because his arms were too short.  Those days are long gone and while Jessup Library doesn't have video games for you to check out, we do have books that you and your favorite dinosaur can read together.

Are you feeling possessive and grammatically incorrect? Would you believe that All Your Base Are Belong To Us?  Feel like virtually traveling without a passport? How about checking out Video Games Around the World?  If you like to read about the video game industry's history we have A Brief History of Video Games and The Ultimate History of Video Games.  Bit by Bit: How Video Games Transformed Our World gives a bit of history and bit of memoir perspective, while The Art of Video Games explores the visual aspect of games.

Jessup Library also has electronic books that you can read from your gaming chair.  Check out Landmark Video Games Silent Hill: The Terror Engine and  Video Games As Culture: Considering the Role and Importance of Video Games in Contemporary Society.
