#fridayreads: Edith Wharton
Edith Wharton was born on January 24, 1862. Today is January 22 and Jessup Library is celebrating her birthday early. Her novel " The Age of Innocence" won a Pulitzer Prize in 1921 -- the first time the prize was awarded to a woman. Several of her novels have been adapted into films. Among them are "Ethan Frome," "The House of Mirth," "The Buccaneers," as well as the aforementioned "The Age of Innocence."
