#fridayreads: The Great Gatsby

 

Well, well, well -- it's still 2021 but we have a special guest on this week's #fridayreads blog post. On April 10, 2025, F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby roared onto the literary scene. Today we have a time-traveling Daisy Buchanan here and her days of dancing and counting fine shirts are OVER. The picture of Betty Sue Jessup is supervising Daisy on this questionable side of paradise as she eliminates COVID-19 germs in the library. 

Maybe when Daisy is finished sanitizing and vacuuming, she can settle down, put her sore feet up, and read a few books about Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, or she might contemplate how to get back to 1925. At this point, even 2019 would be a pre-COVID-19 dream.
