#fridayreads: Jurassic Park / Dinosaurs
Way back in the last century, the film Jurassic Park landed in theaters like an asteroid. It was in 1993 that the world first experienced the true terror of the phrase "Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear." Jessup Library has no dinosaurs lurking in the stacks... or do we? If you are up for an adventure, we suggest the following books as a head start. Can you read and run at the same time?
- Dinosaurs: a very short introduction (how short is too short?)
- The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs (what goes up must come down)
- Weird Dinosaurs (what are you looking at?)
- The Princeton Field Guide to Dinosaurs (Ivy League dinosaur education at a community college price!)
- Dinosaurs: how they lived and evolved (beware of two dinosaurs in a coat trying to buy movie tickets)
- Flying Dinosaurs (don't look up) -- electronic book
- Dinosaurs: a concise natural history (they came, they saw, they conquered, they became extinct) -- electronic book
