New Books

Did you know that Jessup Library has five shelves of new books on display? In fact, we have processed so many new books that we cannot fit all of them on our New Books shelves. Any that are not on the New Books shelves are in the stacks. You can find the current list of new print and electronic books here. It's almost as though coming into the library is like Experiencing the Impossible: the science of magic. Interested in the past? Explore Dinosaurs: the grand tour or Pirates: a new history, from Vikings to Somali raiders. Have you ever wondered what kind of missives some scientists write?  "Dear Moon, how are you? How is the weather on the dark side?" Neil deGrasse Tyson might be writing different types of letters in his Letters From an Astrophysicist but you will need to check out the book to find out.

Martha Stewart's The Martha Manual: how to do (almost) everything is full of helpful tips but Martha might want to explore some new methods shown in The Way of the Househusband. We have three volumes of this graphic novel series -- more than enough cleaning tips to go around. And hold on to your sponges because you will need them to clean up after making some  Cookies for Everyone: 99 deliciously customizable bakeshop recipes.

For those of you looking for a job, we can recommend Remote Work Revolution as well as The Introvert's Complete Career Guide. A man with a very long career has written an autobiography.  No, it's not Nietzsche, although I Am Dynamite! is about the 19th century philosopher. Our mystery book author is none other than Elton John, writing about himself in the succinctly-titled Me.

Please stop by Jessup Library before your schedule gets filled up this fall. We will be waiting here Until the End of Time!
