Join JMRL for a timely discussion of the bestselling book Maid, by Stephanie Land (now a series on Netflix). A single mother confronts domestic abuse, poverty, and the struggle to find employment and housing in this powerful memoir. It is the personal account of one family that startlingly depicts what is happening all over America. We will be joined by experts who will talk about these issues in general, and the way that they manifest in our community, as well as available resources to address them.
